IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa freshman Paula Miranda has been named the Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week, it was announced Wednesday by the league office. It is the first honor of her career.
The Puebla, Mexico, native earned the distinction after tying for second at the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate to tally the best finish of her Hawkeye career. She shot a four-under par 212 (72-72-68), finishing at or below par in each of her three rounds.
