Iowa’s rivalry with Wisconsin is one of the oldest in college football—dating back to 1894. In 2004, Brutus the Bull—otherwise known as the Heartland Trophy—became a fixture in the annual rivalry game. Brutus the Bull travels back and forth between Iowa City and Madison with each year’s victorious team.
This year a new challenge is being introduced just for fans: The Battle for the Bull Giving Challenge.
This week only, the University of Iowa and the University of Wisconsin will compete to see which school can garner the most fan support. Here’s how you can do your part to help the Hawkeyes beat the Badgers.
The more Hawkeyes who give means the better the chances Iowa wins the challenge. The proceeds raised will support the I-Club fund, which supports all of our athletic programs.
The Battle for the Bull Giving Challenge kicks off with the Iowa women’s soccer game against Wisconsin on Sunday, Oct. 24, and ends at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 when the Hawkeye football team visits Camp Randall Stadium to face the Badgers.
Help the Hawkeyes beat the Badgers and bring home a victory in the inaugural Battle for the Bull Giving Challenge—once again proving that Iowa really does have the best fans.
