IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa men’s track and field ranks ninth in the initial USTFCCCA National Track and Field Index, the association announced Monday. The No. 9 ranking matches the highest in program history to start a season (2021).
The Hawkeyes are the highest-ranked Big Ten team. Nebraska is the only other Big Ten team in the top-25, ranking No. 12.
Additionally, the Hawkeye men are ranked first in the Midwest Region, and the women rank No. 2 in the Midwest Region.
The Hawkeyes head to Fayetteville, Arkansas, this weekend for the Razorback Invite on Friday and Saturday.
