IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s golf tournament — the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational — has been cancelled due to on-going precautions with the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was to be held from March 19-21 in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.
“We would like to thank Steve Johnson and the entire staff at the El Tigre Paradise Resort Golf Course for their on-going hospitality and being willing to host our tournament,” said Iowa head coach Megan Menzel. “We look forward to being able to travel to Puerta Vallarta and showcase their beautiful course in future years.”
The Hawkeyes will add the Chattanooga Classic to the spring schedule, competing in the event from March 27-29 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
