PITTSBURGH – The University of Iowa women’s golf team fired a final round 312 on Sunday at the Big Ten Championships at Fox Chapel Golf Club. The Hawkeyes finished with a 54-hole total of 928 (309-307-312) to place 14th in its final competition of the season.
Junior Jacque Galloway was Iowa’s top finisher, tying for 58th place. The New Mexico native had a final-round 77, tying for the team’s low round of the day, en route to a 231 (77-77-77) total. Freshman Paula Miranda was one stroke behind with a 232 (77-76-79) to tie for 64th.
Michigan won the team title with an 857, four strokes ahead of Michigan State. The Wolverines’ Monet Chun was the individual medalist with a eight-under 205.
