Hadrien Choukroun Named New Assistant Track & Field Coach

IOWA CITY, Iowa Hadrien Choukroun has been named an assistant track and field coach (jumps and multis) for the Hawkeyes, University of Iowa Director of Track and Field Joey Woody announced Friday.

Choukroun served as an assistant coach at Stephen F. Austin State University for the past four years, including being named the co-head coach this past year. Prior to his time at SFA, he was an assistant coach at the University of South Carolina and Benedict College for a combined six years of experience.

Last year, Choukroun led the SFA women to outdoor titles in their first season in the WAC. In addition, he led the SFA women to a sweep of the indoor and outdoor titles during his first season on the staff. Choukroun coached five NCAA All-Americans at SFA and 24 All-American selections overall throughout his career.

“I would like to thank Coach Woody for this opportunity,” Choukroun said. “I have watched what the coaching staff has done these past couple of years. I have always respected the way they develop athletes. I am incredibly excited and humbled to be part of this program, university and conference.”

Choukroun is a native of Paris, France and competed as a decathlete at Benedict College.
