NORMAL, Ill. – University of Iowa women’s cross country sent a small group of mid-distance runners to the Redbird Invite in Normal, Illinois, on Friday evening.
The Hawkeyes were led by senior Alli Bookin-Nosbisch, who stopped the clock in a new career-best 22:41.8 to take 19th-place overall. In their 6,000-meter debut, senior Clare Pitcher and freshman Ava Rush crossed the line in 25:12.6 and 25:29.3, respectively.
Next Up: The Hawkeyes return to action on Sept. 29 at the Joe Piane Invite in South Bend, Indiana. The women’s 5,000-meter race begins at 9:30 a.m. (CT), with the men’s 8,000-meter contest to follow.
