Hawkeyes Through Two Rounds at Fallen Oaks Collegiate Invitational

BILOXI, Miss. – Iowa Men’s golf finished round two of play at the Fallen Oaks Collegiate Invitational. The tournament features four top-30 ranked opponents, No. 2 Auburn, No. 3 Ole Miss, No. 10 Mississippi State, and No. 27 SMU. Iowa is in 11th place heading into the final round.

Junior Ian Meyer is leading the way for the Hawkeyes tied for 29th place. Meyer shot 1-over par on the back nine and finished the second round shooting 78 (+6).

Fifth-year Mac McClear finished as the low scorer for the Hawkeyes in the second round of the tournament carding 73 (+1). McClear shot 2-under par on his second nine to move forward 19 spots in the standings.

Josh Lundmark, competing individually, is tied for 34th place at 6-over par. Lundmark’s par three average of 3.00 (E) is tied for fourth in the tournament.

No. 2 Auburn is at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round. Auburn shot 5-under par in the second round to get to 11-under par for the tournament.
