McClear Named Co-Player of The Year by CDGA

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa fifth year senior Mac McClear was named the 2023 Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA) co-player of the year. McClear becomes the first Hawkeye to win this award after he finished fourth in player of the year points in 2022 and second in 2021.

In order to qualify for the award individuals must be a resident of Illinois or be a member of the CDGA. Individuals must also compete in a CDGA championship. The award is then determined by an accumulation of points based on performances in various local national events.
