Dabagia, Lewis Fire 2-Under Par 70s on Tuesday in Hawai’i

KAPOLEI, O’ahu – Sophomores Madison Dabagia and Riley Lewis both carded two-under par 70s on day two to lead the University of Iowa women’s golf team at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at the Kapolei Golf Course.

Dabagia carded four birdies on the back nine to finish in the red for the third time this season and eighth time in her career. The Indiana native is currently in the top 20 in the tournament as she sits in a tie for 17th place with a one-over par 145 (75-70).

Lewis shaved seven strokes off her score from Round 1 to Round 2, putting her in a tie for 23rd place with a 147 (77-70). She finished the round with six birdies, including four over her final six holes, to finish below par for the first time this fall.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Hanna also had strong second round, posting two birdies en route to a two-over par 74. Hanna is tied for 57th with a 154 (80-74).

The Hawkeyes moved up one spot on the team leaderboard into a tie for 10th place with Osaka Gakuin after shooting a 291 –16 shots better than Monday — during the second round. Iowa has a two-round total of 598 (307-291).

Baylor’s Rosie Belsham is the individual leader with a five-under par 139 (69-70).
