Hawkeyes Qualify 35 Entries to NCAA First Rounds

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa track and field has qualified 35 entries (19 men, 16 women) to the 2024 NCAA Track and Field West First Rounds in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on May 22-May 25. The meet takes place at John McDonnell Field on the campus of the University of Arkansas. 

Athletes earn a berth to the NCAA preliminaries by ranking within the top 48 of their respective events. The 24 fastest relays qualify to the NCAA West First Rounds. Athletes with the top 12 times and marks and the 12 fastest relays at the preliminaries advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 5-8.

Decathlete Austin West has automatically qualified to the NCAA Championships, entering with the second-highest score this season.
