2020-21 Honors – Honorable mention CSCAA Scholar All-American… Academic All-Big Ten… Dean’s List honoree during the spring semester. 2020-21 – Posted NCAA “B” qualifying times in 100 back (46.98), 200 back (1:42.63), and 400 IM (3:46.18) at the Big Ten Championships… member of the record-setting 200-medley relay (1:25.06) that placed sixth and 400-medley relay (3:07.52) that was seventh at Big Tens… the 400-medley relay posted an NCAA provisional qualifying time… individually scored in three events, finishing ninth in 400 IM (3:46.18), 10th in 200 IM (1:44.86) and 16th in 200 back (1:45.08).
2019-20 Honors — CSCAA All-American in the 200-yard backstroke… CSCAA First-Team Scholar All-American… recipient of the Iowa Swimming MVP Award and Irving B. Weber Award… Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient… Academic All-Big Ten selection… named to the Dean’s List during the spring semester. 2019-20 — NCAA qualifier in the 200 back, 200 IM, and 400 IM… did not compete at the NCAA Championships after the season was canceled by Big Ten Conference and NCAA on March 12 due to concerns of coronavirus (COVID-19)… posted NCAA “B” qualifying times and posted school record times in the 200 back (1:41.24), 200 IM (1:46.14), and 400 IM (3:45.76)… placed and broke three school records at the Big Ten Championships… finished 10th in 400 IM (3:45.76) and 200 back (1:42.79) and was 19th in 200 IM (1:46.14)… also posted collegiate-best times in 500 free (4:31.93), 100 back (48.55), and 200 fly (1:46.86).
2018-19 – Posted an NCAA “B” qualifying time in the 200 back (1:44.05) and 400 IM (3:50.09)… ranks second in program history in the 200 IM (1:46.92), fourth in the 400 IM (3:50.09), and sixth in the 200 back (1:44.05) following performances at the 2019 Big Ten Championships… captured a career-best in the 100 back (49.42) at the Hawkeye Invitational… placed 18th at the Big Ten Championships in the 400 IM and 200 back, and 22nd in the 200 IM.
High School — Swam for the Slovene Swimming Federation and Gimnazija Bezigrad… swimming coach was Tine Pecaver… competed in the sixth FINA World Junior Championships in 2017 making three ‘A’ finals in the 200 long-course back (2:03.38), 200 long-course individual medley (2:06.01), and 100 long-course back (57.18).
