2009 – Competed in every meet for the Hawkeyes… posted three season bests at home against Nebraska and Minnesota on floor exercise (14.60), rings (14.80) and vault (15.05)… holds school record on rings (14.80)… earned season high on high bar (12.95) at Illinois… tied for second on rings with a 14.40 against Illinois… won team’s ‘Best Work Ethic’ award… letterwinner.
2008 – Received 2008 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award… placed first on floor exercise against Illinois-Chicago with a 14.75… holds event high score on rings with a 14.70, posted against Oklahoma placing fourth… tied for fourth on floor exercise posting a 14.95 and placed third on rings (14.55) against Minnesota… awarded Coaches Appreciation award…letterwinner.
2007 – At NCAA qualifier posted his best score of the year, a 9.2 on floor exercise, to finish 14th after missing a full month of the season following a knee injury… competed for the Hawkeyes in five meets prior to his injury… placed third on floor exercise against Illinois-Chicago, scoring an 8.9… also scored an 8.9 on floor exercise at Illinois to finish seventh… also at Illinois, finished ninth on rings, posting a personal best score of 8.75… voted Most Improved for the season by his coaches… letterwinner.
High School – Named four-time USAG academic all-American… Wisconsin state champion on FE in 2006… was the 2005 Regional FE champion… finished second on FE at the 2006 Regional meet… coached by Mitch Connor, Vitali Rudninski and Ivan Paulowski of Salto Gymnastics.
Personal – Born 10/21/87 … son of Clair and Paulette Urbain… Interdepartmental Studies major on health science track.
