Hadrien Choukroun

Bio

In 2024, Choukroun led three Hawkeyes to All-American status. Senior Austin West placed sixth to earn first-team All-American honors in the heptathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Senior Tionna Tobias (long jump) and freshman Daniela Wamokpego (triple jump) were second-team at the Indoor NCAA Championships.

In his first season, Choukroun coached four Hawkeyes to seven All-America honors. James Carter (triple jump – indoor and outdoor, long jump), Peyton Haack (heptathlon), Tionna Tobias (heptathlon), Austin West (decathlon, heptathlon). West was Iowa’s top finisher, grabbing third at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the decathlon. Tobias was the Big Ten Champion in the heptathlon, accumulating 5,640 points.

Hadrien Choukroun joined Iowa Athletics as Assistant Track and Field Coach, specializing in jumps and combined events, in October 2022. Most recently, Hadrien was Co-Head Coach at Stephen F. Austin State University, coordinating and supervising all activities related to sprints, jumps and multi events. Hadrien has a BA in Psychology from Benedict College, Columbia South Carolina – where he was also a track and field scholarship student athlete, and an MBA from Claflin University in South Carolina.
