Account Information

Name Changes

Name changes to an account due to a legal name change must be submitted in writing or in person with a valid form of identification and will not be accepted over the phone.

Contact Information Changes

It is the responsibility of the account holder to notify the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office in writing of any change in contact information (address, phone, email, etc.). Changes may be submitted in writing or online. Changes will not be accepted over the phone.

Seat Transfer (Season Tickets)

Season ticket locations may be transferred from Current Season Ticket Holder (Transferor) to a New Season Ticket Holder (Transferee). The Transferee will be required to pay the established public rate for tickets and any associated I-Club contribution. Faculty/Staff and/or exempt status is not transferrable. Only spouses may transfer years of season ticket purchase and I-Club contribution history. No exceptions will be made. Premium seats and club license agreements are not transferable.

  • In the Event of a Death: Tickets and/or parking may be transferred into the name of the surviving spouse. If no surviving spouse exists or no transfer requests to an immediate family member are made within sixty (60) days, the tickets and/or parking will be released and made available to the public based on the UI Athletics Priority Point System.
  • In the Event of a Divorce: The Iowa Athletics Ticket Office will abide by any court-ordered decision about ticket and/or parking allocation. Upon both spouses’ consent, tickets and/or parking will be allocated as desired.
  • Corporate Account Transfer: A privately owned business may request a transfer to the owner’s personal account when the owner sells their company (must provide legal documentation of the sales agreement). Up to 5 years of season ticket purchase and I-Club contribution history will be transferred. Individuals cannot transfer their personal accounts into a business account; they must start a separate account for a business.

To request a transfer, please complete the Season Ticket Transfer Request Form online. Both the Transferor and Transferee must consent to the transfer. A valid form of identification may be requested from both parties (i.e., copy of driver’s license, etc.).
All requests for ticket transfer will be reviewed at the discretion of the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office. Notice of approval or disapproval will be provided to both parties and all decisions should be considered final.

Priority Points

Priority points are awarded to each account based on years of season ticket purchases, contributions to the I-Club, alumni status, and letterwinner status. Priority totals are calculated separately for each sport (Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Wrestling). Priority points are not transferable, except between spouses.

Itemized priority point calculations can be viewed online. Priority points are updated at the beginning of each season of competition. If an account holder believes there is an error in point calculation, a request for priority point review may be submitted in writing to the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office.

Tickets

Admissions Policy

For all ticketed events, everyone regardless of age must have a ticket for admission.

Infants ages 2 & under are admitted free to all regular season home events, except Football, Men’s Basketball, and premium Wrestling events, but must sit on an adult’s lap. Lap tickets are available the day of the game at the box office. If an infant requires a reserved seat, a ticket must be purchased for the event, subject to availability. Lap tickets are not valid for premium seating areas.

Youth pricing for ages 18 & under may be available at a discounted rate for select events.

Accessible Seating

Accessible tickets may be ordered by calling 1-800 IA-HAWKS or online at HawkeyeSports.com/tickets. Please provide any special seating needs necessary when ordering tickets. If wheelchair accessible seating is required, please note this as well. Each accessible seating order will be eligible for three (3) attendant seats, subject to availability.

If tickets located in general seating areas need to be exchanged for accessible seats, a person must provide their tickets for exchange to the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office as soon as possible prior to the game to ensure them accessible seats with attendant seat(s). Another option is to exchange tickets on game day, if available, at the box office. Ticket exchanges are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Season Ticket Policy

Orders

Orders for season tickets will be accepted through the established deadline. Orders submitted online, over the phone or postmarked after that date will be filled if tickets are available. However, there is no guarantee that the order will receive the same seats held the previous year.

Seating Improvement

All football & men’s basketball season ticket holders will have the opportunity to participate in an optional upgrade process. After the renewal period, each season ticket holder for football and/or men’s basketball will be assigned an individualized selection date and time to view a map of available seating options and move or improve existing seats, as well as add additional season tickets or parking.

All other sports will provide instructions on how to make requests during the renewal period.

Improvements are based on the University of Iowa Athletic Department Priority Point System. Priority points are calculated on an individual’s total athletics contributions, current gift to athletics, years of season ticket purchase, alumni status, and letter-winner status.

Required Per-Seat Contributions

Some areas in Kinnick Stadium and Carver-Hawkeye Arena (Men’s Basketball only) require annual per-seat contributions to the I-Club. I-Club contributions are accepted any time during the athletic giving year, which runs from July 1 through June 30. Contributions are encouraged to be made prior to March 31 to ensure access to ticket benefits (pre-sale access, away game tickets, etc.). Football and Men’s Basketball per-seat contributions count toward annual I-Club recognition levels.

Season tickets will not be released until the required per-seat contribution has been received and processed by the UI Center for Advancement.

Transfer of Season Tickets

Please see Seat Transfer (Season Tickets) under Accounts for more information. Tickets to individual games may be transferred using the online ticket transfer tool at HawkeyeSports.com/tickets.

Order Quantity Limits

The Iowa Athletics Ticket Office reserves the right to establish order limits on specific items or events. Any orders exceeding the set limit may be reduced or canceled and refunded, less applicable fees. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent established limits is not permitted, and the associated account(s) may be monitored and/or locked.

Ticket Resale

SeatGeek (The Official Fan-to-Fan Ticket Marketplace) is the only official resale marketplace for tickets to Iowa Athletics Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Wrestling events. General ticket holders are permitted to resell their tickets through SeatGeek (The Official Fan-to-Fan Ticket Marketplace). Visit here to buy or sell tickets via SeatGeek. Iowa Athletics reserves the right to cancel any ticket purchases (less fees) made for the purpose of resale without notification. See the Ticket Broker Policies section below for more information.

The resale of faculty/staff, student, and youth tickets is not supported on SeatGeek or any other channel due to their reduced price.

Ticket Broker Policies

The University of Iowa Athletics Department prohibits the purchase and resale of tickets by ticket brokers. Ticket brokers are defined as account holders who purchase tickets with the primary intent of reselling their tickets. Orders placed by suspected tickets brokers or account holders who have a resale history consistent with that of a ticket broker, are subject to cancellation. The University of Iowa Ticket Office reserves the right to withhold electronic delivery of tickets purchased by a suspected broker and/or restrict the account holder’s ability to transfer tickets electronically to others.

The University of Iowa Ticket Office reserves the right to monitor ticket account activity and withhold season ticket renewal invitations from accounts that exhibit activity consistent with that of a ticket broker.

The University of Iowa Ticket Office reserves the right to withhold or alter I-Club membership level benefits for any account that it deems a broker account. These benefits include but are not limited to the following:

• Season Ticket Holder relocation appointment times
• Advance single game purchases
• Option to purchase season parking for home games
• Away game ticket purchases including limits and seat location
• Post-Season game purchases including limits and seat location
• Neutral site game purchases including limits and seat location

Duplicate Tickets

Ticket holders can access an electronic copy of tickets free of charge in the online account at HawkeyeSports.com/myaccount or through the Iowa Hawkeyes app on mobile device. Duplicates for tickets lost, stolen, or left at home can be obtained by emailing the ticket office or by going to the box office on game day with valid form of ID. Duplicate tickets will be issued to the ticket holder of record only and may be subject to a reprint fee. The University of Iowa Athletics Department is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.

Season Ticket Reseating

Full Reseat

The Athletic Department reserves the right to conduct a full reseating of season ticket holders in any ticketed sport in any given year, including season parking. The reseat process is intended to provide an equitable selection of season ticket seat locations based on each account holders priority points. The Athletic Department will communicate specific dates, policies, and procedures related to any specific reseat in advance of that reseat taking place. Full reseats require every season ticket holder to select a location for the given season based on availability and their priority points at a time determined and communicated by the Athletic Department.

Annual Upgrades

During seasons when a full reseating is not scheduled, season ticket holders will have the opportunity to upgrade their tickets and parking based on their priority points and will select from available locations following season ticket renewal period.

Parking

Season Parking Pass

Season parking passes are only available to season ticket holders for each applicable sport. There is a limit of 1 parking pass per season ticket account. Only season ticket holders at the Kinnick Society Gold membership level ($15,000+ annual I-Club contribution) may purchase a second parking pass.

Football Parking

Season parking passes may be purchased by season ticket holders. Several lots require a minimum annual contribution to the I-Club in addition to the cost of the parking pass. Making the minimum required I-Club contribution does not guarantee a spot in qualifying lots. Changes are based on the University of Iowa Athletic Department Priority Point System. Season parking will not be released until the required contribution has been received and processed by the UI Center for Advancement.

Men’s Basketball Parking

Season parking passes may be purchased by season ticket holders. Parking zones are assigned based on current year I-Club membership levels.

Women’s Basketball/Wrestling Parking

Season parking passes in priority lots are automatically issued at no additional cost to season ticket holders at the Golden Hawk membership level and above ($2,500+ annual I-Club contribution). Public parking is free.

Single Game Pre-Paid Parking Pass

Only persons who have secured tickets for an event through the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office or authorized outlet may purchase a pre-paid parking pass for the event. All pre-paid parking passes subject to availability and may not be offered for all events.

Order Quantity Limits

There is a limit of 1 pre-paid parking pass per account, per event. Any orders exceeding the set limit may be reduced or canceled and refunded, less applicable fees. The associated account(s) may be monitored and/or locked.

Payments

Ticket Payment

Tickets will not be held or issued without payment. Payments may be made by cash, personal check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express only. Checks must be made payable to the University of Iowa.

Payroll Deduction is available for Football and Men’s Basketball Season Ticket purchases submitted by the established deadline. Only University of Iowa employees who are on a 50% time or greater 12-month appointment are eligible for this option, and a signature is required.

University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students may charge ticket purchases to their University Bill (U-Bill).

Available payment methods may vary by sales channel.

Fees

Orders placed through the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office are subject to established fees regardless of sales channel or payment method. All fees are non-refundable.

Refunds/Exchanges

All sales are final. Refund or exchange requests may be submitted in writing to the ticket office. Any refund/exchange is at the sole discretion of the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office and is not guaranteed.

Faculty/Staff & Students

University of Iowa Faculty & Staff

Only persons whose names appear on the budget as permanent 50% or greater will be eligible to apply for two faculty/staff tickets. If employment ends prior to the mailing of season tickets, you will be required to pay the public price to receive your tickets. If you choose not to pay the public price, your order will be cancelled, and all payments received will be refunded.

Faculty/staff ticket orders that are in priority sections pay fifty (50) percent of the public per seat requirement unless the order has been exempted from the per seat requirements. To apply for faculty/staff season tickets, submit request for verification in writing to the Iowa Athletics Ticket Office and include University ID number.

Retired University of Iowa Faculty & Staff

Retired faculty and staff may continue to order tickets if the individual has ordered tickets for five consecutive years prior to retirement.
