University of Iowa soccer player Katelyn Quinn was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week and the Soccer America Team of the Week on Tuesday.
Quinn, a sophomore forward, led the Hawkeyes to a pair of victories at the Kentucky Invitational last weekend. Quinn scored an unassisted goal in the 2-1 win over Rutgers and scored the golden-goal winner in the 3-2 upset win over No. 12 BYU. For her efforts, she was named to the all-tournament team.
Quinn, a native of Highlands Ranch, CO, leads the Hawkeyes with four goals on 22 shots for the season, including one game-winning goal. For her career, Quinn has 15 goals and 35 points, which ranks her fifth in Iowa history in both categories.
