The University of Iowa men’s tennis program has signed Jonny Hoak (DesMoines, IA) to a National Letter of Intent. The announcement came earlier today from IowaHead Coach Steve Houghton.

As a freshman at Dowling High School, Hoak was crowned the 2000 Iowa State High SchoolSingles Champion. He was a top-five player in the Missouri Valley and a national qualifier.Hoak played three years for Avon Old Farms Prep School (Avon, CT) where he compiled acareer singles record of 43-1 as the top singles player. He was a two-time team most valuableplayer and also played in the top doubles position. Hoak graduated in 2003, achievingHeadmaster’s List status as a student.
