Jason Kerst Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Committee has awarded University of Iowa men’s tennis graduating senior Jason Kerst a $10,000 scholarship for part-time or full-time graduate study.

Kerst, a member of the Hawkeye tennis team for five seasons (2017-21), will attend the University of South Carolina at the Darla Moore School of Business to pursue an MBA with career aspirations in Athletic Administration.

Kerst was a regular in the Hawkeye lineup the last two seasons, winning 42 career singles matches.

Off the court, Kerst was a model student-athlete representing the University of Iowa. He served as the Iowa Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President, was the recipient of the 2018 Male Hawkeye of the Year Award, was an ITA Scholar Athlete and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and was one of two University of Iowa recipients of the annual Big Ten Conference Postgraduate Scholarship in 2020.
