The 2002-03 University of Iowa men’s and women’s swimmingteams have earned academic all-America status, recently announced by the College SwimmingCoaches Association of America.
The Hawkeye men’s team ranks 24th in the nation out of 37teams, and second in the Big Ten with a team grade-point average of 3.00. The Iowa women’ssquad ranks 53rd in the nation out of 63 teams, and eighth in the Big Ten with a team grade-pointaverage of 3.09. The Iowa men’s squad is coached by John Davey, while the women’s team iscoached by Garland O’Keeffe.
