University of Iowa women’s basketball Head Coach Lisa Bluder announced today that she has named Jan Jensen Associate Head Coach.
“Jan is being named Associate Head Coach due to her loyalty and leadership over the past 11 years,” said Bluder. “She has had many opportunities to become a head coach at other institutions and has chosen to stay at Iowa to help us become one of the elite programs in America.”
Jensen enters her fourth season with the Hawkeyes. Jensen is Iowa’s recruiting coordinator and works with the Hawkeye post players. The native of Kimballton, IA, spearheaded Iowa’s efforts in landing the eighth-best recruiting class in the nation in 2001.
Before joining the University of Iowa, she served as an assistant coach under Bluder for eight years at Drake University.
