Television Plan: Iowa-Michigan

Oct. 2, 2003

A little more than 45 percent of the population in the country, including all the fans of college football in the states that boast Big Ten Conference institutions and the southernmost tip of Florida, will get a chance to watch the nationally ranked Iowa Hawkeyes and Michigan square off inside legendary Kinnick Stadium in the Hawkeyes’ next home game.

Iowa and Michigan will tee it up at 2:30 p.m. (Iowa time) on Saturday, Oct. 4. Brad Nessler, Bob Griese and Lynn Swann will provide the commentary for Iowa’s first home game of the 2003 Big Ten Conference season.

Iowa’s game against Michigan is sold out. A Homecoming crowd in excess of 70,300 will be inside legendary Kinnick Stadium.

The Hawkeyes did not make an apperance on ABC last year during their run to the 2002 Big Ten title and an appearance in the 2003 FedEx Orange Bowl.
