The Hawkeyes will host Michigan Saturday inside Kinnick Stadium for Homecoming 2003.
The Iowa Hawk Shop has homecoming buttons and T-shirts on sale, and you can order yours by calling 1-800-HAWK-SHOP or by visiting their website.
Coach Kirk Ferentz and his team are hoping the sell-out crowd of over 70,000 inside the legendary stadium will be wearing plenty of black and gold, making it an intimidating sight for the Wolverines.
“We miss out on homecoming and all the good stuff being coaches and players,” said Ferentz. “But there’s going to be a great crowd, and that’s going to be exciting.”
No. 11 (ESPN/USA Today) Michigan holds a 37-9-4 advantage over 19th-ranked Iowa in a long-standing Big Ten series started in 1900. The Wolverines have a 14-3-1 record at Kinnick, but Iowa holds a 47-39-5 homecoming record and has won 16 of its last 18 games at home.
Last year, the Hawks finished the season with a 5-1 record at home, and the team hopes to match or better that record in 2003.
