MASON, OH – The Iowa men’s golf team finishes in 20th place in the Xavier Provident Invitational. The final round was called off due to heavy rain. The Hawkeyes shot a 36-hole total of 593. Coming away with the team title was Indiana after firing a two-round of 560.
Leading the way for the Hawkeyes tied for 19th place was Erik Feldick. Feldick fired a round of 142. Bennett Hammerberg carded a score of 146, which placed him tied for 47th. Brian DeBuhr shot a round of 153, which was good enough to place him tied for 90th. Todd Larson and Robby Storm came in with scores of 154 and 155 respectively to place them tied for 98th and 102nd.
Individually Indiana’s Jeff Overton won the tournament. Overton fired a 36-hole total of 130. Three strokes behind in second was Marquette’s Michael Bielawski.
