This week’s Associated Press Top 25
There’s agreement among the coaches of college football and the media who report on their games when it comes to the nation’s No. 10 team as both have the Iowa Hawkeyes in that position in this week’s polls.
Coach Kirk Ferentz’s squad moved up three spots in this week’s Associated Press elite list to complete the top 10. The Hawkeyes are one of six Big Ten Conference teams includes in AP’s roster. Ohio State (seventh), Michigan (eighth), Michigan State (14th), Purdue (16th) and Minnesota (24th) complete the list.
As in the case of the ESPN/USA Today Top 25, Oklahoma, Southern Cal and Florida State rate one-two-three in the AP Top 25.
Iowa travels to Purdue Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. Iowa time date with the Boilermakers. Both teams are coming off victories and both need a victory to stay in the hunt for this year’s league crown. The game will be televised live by ESPN.
