Coach Kirk Ferentz’s Iowa football team moved up four places and now ranks 10th in this week’s ESPN/USA Today Top 25. The Hawkeyes, 7-2 overall and 3-2 in Big Ten Conference play, are one of six league teams included in this week’s ESPN list.
Iowa is joined by Ohio State (sixth), Michigan eighth, Purdue (14th), Michigan State (15th) and Minnesota (18th) in the top 25 voted on by coaches.
Oklahoma, Southern Cal and Florida State rank one-two-three, according to ESPN.
Iowa and Purdue will square off at 2:30 p.m. Iowa time Saturday in West Lafayette, IN. The game will be televised live by ESPN. It will be the 10th straight television appearance for the Hawkeyes in 2003.
