What attracted you to the University of Iowa?
“Meeting and talking to Rita. She got me so fired up to come out here for my visit. I also liked the fact that it was close to my grandparents.”
When did you start playing volleyball?
“My freshman year of high school.”
What impresses you most about Coach Buck-Crockett?
“Everything. The fact that she’s been able to accomplish so much in her life. She’s done it all and she’s always willing to share what she’s learned from her own experiences.”
What is something that few people know about you?
“I used to be really involved with acting and musical theater, but I stopped in high school due to sport conflicts.”

If you were given three wishes, what would you wish for?
“To have Coach Rita’s 42 inch vertical, a really warm jacket because I heard it gets a little cold out here and world peace.”
What is the most embarrassing item of clothing you have ever owned?
“That would probably have to be my full length leopard-print coat. It looks like something Snoop Dogg would wear. I’ve only worn it a few times and once was for Halloween. Thankfully I left it at home.”
If you could guest star on any television show, what would it be?
“I would love to be drawn into an episode of the Simpsons. If I had to choose a live action show, I’d say Will and Grace!”
What activities/hobbies do you do in your spare time or in the off-season?
“I’m learning to sew and I think I’m going to try knitting. I guess I’m going through a bit of a ‘home-ec.’ phase right now.”
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
“I think it would be so awesome to live in Europe for a while, specificallysomewhere in Spain. I really want to experience a new culture and put my countless years of Spanish class to use.”
What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
“Don’t try and make too much sense of the world around you. You’ll never figure it out. Just live your life moment by moment, trying to make each day better than the last.”
