Another powerful Big Ten football team featuring a talented wide receiver and a talented, veteran, quarterback — both of whom are getting healthier every day — are waiting in Madison, WI, for Iowa’s nationally ranked football team, UI Coach Kirk Ferentz told the media assembled at his weekly press conference.

The Hawkeyes travel to Camp Randall Stadium Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. date with the Wisconsin Badgers. The game will be televised live to a regional audience by ABC-TV. It will also help determine which Big Ten Conference teams go where in this year’s bowl game bonanza.

“If ( Robert Gallery) doesn’t win the Outland Trophy it’s a travesty. And don’t take my word for it. Talk to the guys who (judge talent) for a living.”

Ferentz also talked about the “Law Firm” of “Gallery, Kaeding and Sanders,” Iowa’s gutsy performance last Saturday against Minnesota, the difference between whooping cough and the flu, and about Robert Gallery’s chances of winning this year’s Outland Trophy and what makes him, Kaeding and Sanders so special.
