Minneapolis, MN – The University of Iowa women’s swimming team completed the second day of competition at the Minnesota Invitational. Team results were not available by press deadline.
The 200-medley relay team of Kelly Werner, Emmy Haeger, Andrea Hemphill, and Katie Haeger finished 11th with a time of 1:47.96. Iowa also got a quality performance from the team of Christie Hooper, Katelyn Eustis, Abby VanMaaren, and Joyce VanKeulen in the 800-free relay placing fourth with a time of 7:37.29.
Hooper put up a time of 1:52.98 in the 200-free to place 11th. VanMaaren(14th) and VanKeulen(15th) also scored points for the Hawkeyes in the 200-free. Kristin Eide placed eighth with a time of 1:06.46 in the 100-breast. Eustis had the highest finish of any Hawkeye today. She placed seventh in the 400-IM with a time of 4:28.94.
