hawkeyesports.com visited recently with sophomore forward Tiffany Reedy from Dysart, Iowa. Here’s a piece of that conversation.

How would you describe yourself on the court? Off the court?
“I try to contribute as much as I can and, I work my hardest and sometimes I even get a little nervous on the court. I’m really loud and outgoing off the court. I have a bubbly personality and I like to have fun and joke around.”

“The best part (about being a student-athlete at the UI) is the people you meet and the friendships that you make. The toughest part is keeping up with your studies when you are on the road.”

What is something few people know about you?
“Jamie Cavey and I are going to start our own duet group. Jamie is going to play the guitar, sing and write the songs and I’m just going to do vocals.”

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?,br> “I think I’d like to live in Australia because it’s warm, sunny and there’s lots of koala bears.”

While on the road, how do you like to spend your spare time?
“I like to chill, listen to music and study.”

If you could have any job, what would it be?
“Hands-down, I would want to work on a political campaign and be the spokesperson for the person that is running for the election.”

If you could guest star on any TV show (past or present), which would it be and why?
“I would like to be on the show Home Improvement because I would like to be around J.T.T. (Jonathon Taylor Thomas)!”

What is the best part about being a student-athlete at Iowa? The toughest part?
“The best part is the people you meet and the friendships that you make. The toughest part is keeping up with your studies when you are on the road.”

You bought a moped this summer. Has it been everything you thought it would be and more?
“The moped (Vinnie the Vino) was a great purchase on my part, but however, I’m not going to lie, I did lose the key in late September so it has been out of commission for a while. On a good note, the keys have been found as of a couple week ago, but it’s too cold so I’m going to have to wait until next spring to ride my moped. The keys were in a pair of capri pants that I haven’t worn for a while.”

What is your biggest pet peeve?
“I would have to say people who smack their food really loudly.”

If you had the opportunity to play in any arena, which would it be and why?
“I would like to play in the Staple Center because it is in Los Angeles and it would be cool to play where one of the best teams in the world plays.”

If you could star at any other sport besides basketball, what would it be and why?
“If I could be a boy I’d play football because I think I’d be a really good linebacker. But since I’m not a boy, I’d play volleyball because it’s really fun and a laid-back sport.”

Who makes you laugh the most of the team? “Hands-down, Jamie Cavey because she is just all about true free spirit. She doesn’t let anything get her down and she can make light out of any situation. Whenever you are around her you just know you are going to laugh.”
