IOWA CITY, IA – Senior Alexis Maday received Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honors after her strong performance at last weekend’s Cancun Invitational.
Maday won three individual titles and the all-around to lead the Hawkeyes to a second place finish. She placed first on vault with a 9.9 and tied for first on beam (9.875) and floor (9.925). Maday also finished second on bars, tying her career-best score of 9.95. Maday’s all-around score of 39.65 also tied a career-high.
This is the fifth time Maday has been selected as Big Ten Gymnast of the Week.
