IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Iowa women’s gymnastics team welcomes Romina Mazzoni to the team. Mazzoni will compete for the GymHawks beginning in the spring semester.
“We’re very excited to be able to add Romina to our team this season,” said Head Women’s Gymnastics Coach Mike Lorenzen.
Mazzoni is a transfer from the University of Oklahoma with four years of eligibility left. Her most recent accomplishments include a bronze medal on the uneven bars at the last Pan American Games.
“Romina brings an incredible wealth of competitive experience and talent to our team as well as a wonderful personality that fits perfectly with our philosophies,” said Lorenzen. “She has world class skills on uneven bars and could contribute on all four events before the year is over.”
