Twenty young men officially joined the football program at the University of Iowa today with the signing of their National Letter of Intent. Here’s a quick look at the newest Hawkeyes.

Nyere Aumaitre

High School honors – – Senior season honors include first team all-conference and all-South Jersey honors… also earned all-conference and all-state honors as a junior. Career – – Helped lead his Wilson High School team to the 2001 New Jersey State Championship. Immokalee, FL (Immokalee HS/Dodge City CC)

Junior College honors – – First team all-conference as a sophomore. Career – – recorded nine interceptions and three touchdowns in his two years at Dodge City CC. High School honors – – First team all-state as a junior and senior… first team all-conference as a sophomore. Career – – Three-time letterwinner in football as QB/DB… four-time letterwinner in basketball as a shooting guard… two-time letterwinner in track.
