The Third Annual Kids Day at Iowa Football presented by Alliant Energy will be staged Sunday, Aug. 15, at historic Kinnick Stadium.
Fans of Coach Kirk Ferentz’s Hawkeyes are invited to watch the 2004 Hawkeyes practice beginning at approximately 3 p.m. Kinnick Stadium will open at 2 p.m. Fans will be allowed to enter only at Gate 3 immediately north the press box on the west side of the stadium.
Practice will end at approximately 5:15 p.m. At the conclusion of practice, the 2004 Hawkeyes will line up along the railing of the west stands to visit with fans and sign autographs for approximately 45 minutes. Spectators will not be allowed onto the playing field.
Kids Day at Iowa Football 2004 has been scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 15. Kinnick Stadium’s west stands will open at 2 p.m. with the Hawkeyes’ practice scheduled to start at approximately 3 p.m.
A limited supply of 2004 Iowa Football schedule posters and schedule magnets, and Throwback Game posters will be given away at the entry gate. Random selected spectators will also win pairs of tickets to the Throwback Game and official Throwback Game t-shirts.
Upon entry, spectators will be allowed access to only the west stands. Restrooms for men and women will be operational in the west concourse. Bottled water will be available for purchase from a concessions stand located in the north end of the west concourse.
In the event of rain, practice for the Hawkeyes will be cancelled and so, too, Kids Day 2004. The special event will not be rescheduled.
