Hawkeyes Defeated By Hoosiers, 1-0

IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa women’s soccer team fell on Sunday to the Indiana Hoosiers 1-0. This marks the fifth game that the Hawkeyes have lost by only one goal.

Indiana opened up the scoring in the 48th minute when Kim Grodek scored her sixth goal of the season off a pass from Ali Brown. Iowa could not find the equalizer, recording only three shots on the day. Sophomore Danielle Oswald fired two shots, one of which was on goal. Lindsey Phillips recorded a shot on goal for the Hawkeyes as well. Britta Vogele recorded six saves in the loss.

The Hawkeyes return home to face Michigan State on Friday, September 24. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
