Evanston, IL – The University of Iowa women’s soccer team was defeated by the Northwestern Wildcats on Friday, 6-0. The Hawkeyes fall to 0-7-2 overall with a 0-4-1 mark in Big Ten Conference play.
Northwestern scored three goals in each half and recorded 11 shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Lindsey Boldt saw her first action of the year, replacing senior Britta Vogele to begin the second half. Sophomore Danielle Oswald and freshman Ashley Schlueter recorded Iowa’s only shots on goal.
The Hawkeyes travel to Champaign, IL on Sunday to face 15th ranked Illinois. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
