Iowa plays a pair of road games – at Penn State this week and Illinois next – before returning to Kinnick for a home date with nationally ranked Purdue.
Iowa, 4-2 overall and 2-1 in league play, travels to Penn State next Saturday for an 11 a.m. Iowa time date with the Nittany Lions. It’s Homecoming at Penn State and a sold out Beaver Stadium awaits the visitors. The game will be televised live by ESPN2.
Southern Cal, Oklahoma, Auburn, Miami and Florida State are the AP’s top five. Wisconsin, which checks in at No. 6 after having upended Purdue Saturday in West Lafayette, Ind., is the highest ranked Big Ten team.
The Boilermakers are the No. 12 team. They entertain No. 13 Michigan Saturday.
