The nationally ranked Iowa Hawkeyes, streaking with victories in their last three games entering Saturday’s date with Illinois in Champaign, Ill., will entertain Purdue at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 in historic Kinnick Stadium, Big Ten Conference officials have announced.

The game will be televised to a national audience by ESPN.

Iowa’s game at Illinois will be televised live by Big Ten Plus beginning at 11 a.m. (Iowa time).

Iowa and Purdue will square off on the gridiron inside historic Kinnick Stadium at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 6. That start time means a pre-football game Black and Gold Basketball Blowout.

The 2:30 p.m. start for the Iowa-Purdue football game means the 2004 Black and Gold Basketball Blowout presented by Mediacom will tip off shortly after 11 a.m. (Iowa time) in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The annual event will be the first public appearance for Coach Steve Alford’s 2004-05 Hawkeyes, who will scrimmage black versus gold for two 20-minute halves.

As in the past, team members will be available pre-game for photographs courtside and post-game for autographs. Special halftime entertainment is planned and all persons attending the event will receive a free gift upon entry and will be eligible for a variety of prizes.

Blowout tickets cost just $5 and are available in advance at the UI Athletic Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
