University of Iowa Women’s Basketball Head Coach Lisa Bluder announced today that Ebone Pope (Ottumwa, IA) will join the 2004-05 Iowa Hawkeyes as a walk-on. Pope will wear No. 15.
“Ebone has done well in the first two weeks of practice and has shown improvement. We have decided to add her to our roster as a walk-on.” said Bluder. “She has shown us the desire, attitude and dedication that we are looking for to help us succeed.”
Pope was a two-year starter at Marshalltown Community College. She averaged a team-best 11.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 2.7 apg last year.
