Fans visiting Grant Field for the “Beyond the Game Tour” are also invited to purchase their souvenir collectible “Patch” for $10 and receive a free burger, brat, chips and Coke for lunch in addition to a free ticket to the 2004 Blowout compliments of Hy-Vee, proud sponsor of the “Patch” program and the celebration of the 75th anniversary of historic Kinnick Stadium.

The Tour brings the energy and excitement of college athletics to life with the opportunity for participants to experience hands-on what it’s like to be an NCAA champion while reliving some of the most memorable moments in intercollegiate athletics history.
The “Beyond the Game Tour” will be located inside Grant Field which situated immediately west of Duane Banks Field and southwest of Carver-Hawkeye Arena — which will be the site of the 2004 Black and Gold Baskeball Blowout presented by Mediacom.
The Tour is free and opens to the public at 9 a.m. Once inside, fans of the Hawkeyes can experience the thrill of hitting a home run to win the NCAA College World Series or scoring the game winning touchdown or making one of the most memorable shots in women’s college basketball history.
Participants can also experience other NCAA sports including lacrosse and rowing as well as show their skills in the broadcast booth in the CBS Sports Play-by-Play area when they’ll call the action of an NCAA game and take home a DVD of their sportscasting experience.
