FanFest Nears Sellout Status

Dec. 27, 2004

Here’s a shocker for fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes: The 2005 Iowa Football FanFest is nearing sellout status.

This year’s FanFest will included “Chalk Talk” sessions with members of the Iowa coaching staff, photograph and autograph sessions with the 2004 Big Ten Conference champions, and tours of UI football facilities. The 2005 FanFest will be highlighted by an appearance by former UI and NFL standout Andre Tippett.

FanFest, the annual event that gives friends and fans of the football program at the UI an opportunity to get up-close and personal with the Hawkeyes, will be staged at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center, Feb. 11-13, in Iowa City.

This is the third year for FanFest. The previous two events were sold out. And, given the fact that interest in the Hawkeyes is sky high, another sellout is almost a certainty.

Like previous FanFest events, this year’s will include “Chalk Talk” sessions with members of the Iowa coaching staff, photograph and autograph sessions with the 2004 Big Ten Conference champions, and tours of UI football facilities.

The 2005 FanFest will be highlighted by an appearance by former UI and NFL standout Andre Tippett.

“Our players and staff really enjoy the FanFest, we think that it a great addition to our program,” said UI Coach Kirk Ferentz.

“Obviously the addition of Andre Tippett to the line-up should make for another outstanding event.”

The number of participants in FanFest is intentionally limited in an effort to provide each participant a unique, individualized experience. To be included in this year’s FanFest lineup, contact the UI Sports Marketing Office at (319) 335-9431 or print and FAX the reservation form below.
