MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The University of Iowa men’s swimming and diving team was defeated by No. 7 Minnesota, 194-89, Saturday night at Minnesota. The Hawkeyes captured two event titles in the loss.
Cameron Dye finished the night with two second-place finishes, in the 100 free and 500 free. In the 200 back, Cade Ashby placed second with a time of 1:57.23. Trevor Haley also had a second-place finish, in the 400 IM (4:10.84). Iowa’s A team of Alex Boyce, Dye, Bryan Rowland and Seth Tweedy took second-place in the 400 free relay.
Complete results were not yet available but will be posted when they are received. Iowa will next compete Friday, January 28 when they host Penn State and Missouri. Competition will take place at the UI Field House pool beginning at 5 p.m.
