Iowa Men’s Swimming Interim Head Coach Marc Long announced that prep swimmer James Dragon, from Muscatine signed a National Letter of Intent to attend The University of Iowa.

Dragon attends Muscatine High School where he holds school records in the 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly and 200 medley relay. Dragon was also an Automatic All-American in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:53.8. During his junior season he was named a Scholastic All-American. His high school team won its 2004 District Championship. Dragon is the son of Jean and Rachelle Dragon and has a younger brother, Alex, who is a sophomore in high school. His club coach is Judd Anderson and his high school coach is Barry Neville.

Iowa will continue competition at Minneapolis, MN, at the Big Ten Championships on February 24-26.
