Couldn’t get to FanFest, the annual three-day celebration of everything black and gold and Iowa Football, earlier this month in Iowa City?
Well, it was another success that included a presentation by former UI all-American defensive end Andre Tippett who, today, is a member of the administrative staff of the 2005 Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Andre was one of two keynote speakers at Sunday’s final Chalk Talk.
He talked about Iowa City, his teammates, his collegiate coach – a guy named Hayden – his days as a Hawk and the similarities between his current employer and its head coach – the Patriots and Bill Belichick – and the football program at the University of Iowa and its head coach, Kirk Ferentz.
