Iowa lost its first game this season when having a higher field goal percentage than its opponent (18-1). The Hawkeyes shot .532 percent compared to the Lady Lions’ .366.
Penn State ended the game on an 18-9 run in the last 6:45.
Iowa closed the first half on a 17-3 run to claim a 34-31 haltime advantage. The Hawkeyes also out-scored the Lady Lions 8-2 in the first 2:41 of the second half.
Jamie Cavey posted her seventh double-double of the season (21 points, 10 rebounds).

In addition to her 20 points and 10 rebounds, Jamie Cavey blocked a game-high five shots. Her blocks move her into fourth place on Iowa’s career rejection list with 90.
Penn State collected zero blocks, marking the first game this season an Iowa opponent did not post at least one rejection.
