Head Coach Cindy Fredrick and the Iowa volleyball program will host five volleyball camps this summer. The camps are for athletes in elementary school through high school with varying skills and interests.
“We want to bring kids from around the Midwest to our campus, so they can experience the Iowa Volleyball program,” said Fredrick. “We hope that area coaches feel comfortable sending their players to us and we’re excited to build positive relationships with Iowa high school coaches and their athletes.”
An individual camp will be held at the University of Iowa June 12-15. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 12 through high school. These campers should have some experience and are serious about their volleyball skills. More information is available through the Iowa Sports Camp office at 319-335-9714.
A junior high camp will be held June 16-17 for those who will be in grades 6-8 the next school year. An elementary level camp for boys and girls entering grades 4-6 will be held June 20-21; the nets will be lowered and light volleyballs will be used. For more information, please contact the volleyball office at 319-335-9259.
Two high school team camps will also be offered. One team camp will be held on the University of Iowa campus July 30-31 and another team camp will be held at Davenport North High School August 4-5. Please contact the volleyball office at 319-335-9259 for more details.
“Our coaching staff has been involved in running camps for nearly 30 years, and we’re confident that the players, their parents and their coaches will feel attending the Hawkeye volleyball camps is a great experience,” said Fredrick.
