What Is It?

June 16, 2005

OK. It’s time to turn the tables, test the imagination of friends and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes, and maybe have a little fun.

Here’s the scoop: The editorial staff of hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site, have dropped a few more photographs of the renovation project at historic Kinnick Stadium into the photo gallery of kinnickrenovation.com, the official world wide web site for that multi-million dollar project currently underway on the UI campus.

Unfortunately, we didn’t receive the description of the contents of this latest batch of photographs and one of the images left us scratching our heads. “The Mystery” photograph is where you need to focus your attention.

Check it out and shoot us an e-mail with what you think it’s a picture of. We’ll post the correct answer next week…and, what the heck, the person with the first right answer gets four tickets to the season opener compliments of hawkeyesports.com. (No contractors or UI employees, please!) We’ll also post additional photographs of the renovation work on Friday. As you might guess, work is moving along very nicely as Mother Nature cooperates with perfect summertime weather in the Heartland.

And, as a reminder, friends and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes who have not made their purchase of tickets to the home games of Kirk Ferentz’s 2005 nationally ranked squad shouldn’t delay. The are going, going, goning fast.

Fans of the Hawkeyes are also reminded that the easiest way to purchase season tickets and three-game packages to the home games of the 2005 Iowa football team is online at hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
