Football season is a little over a month away, but it’s never too early to talk football. Outside linebacker Chad Greenway, who is a consensus pre-season all-American, will be participating in an espn.com online chat at 2 p.m. (CST) Thursday to preview the upcoming season.

Greenway posted double figure tackles seven times in 2004 and 15 times in his career. He became the 54th Hawkeye to collect 200 career tackles. His seven tackles (4 solo) vs. Ohio State helped him eclipse the 200 plateau. His 260 career tackles rank 23rd at Iowa.
The native of Mt. Vernon, SD, ranked second on the team and seventh in the Big Ten in tackles (113), fourth on the team in tackles for loss (8) and tied for third in interceptions (3). Greenway ranked 18th in the nation in solo tackles (5.92). His 113 tackles ranks 34th in a single season at Iowa.
Iowa opens the 2005 season Sept. 3 vs. Ball State in historic Kinnick Stadium at 11 a.m.
