Iowa City, IA – Prep tennis player Walker Grimes has signed a national letter of intent to attend The University of Iowa. The announcement was made today by men’s Head Coach Steve Houghton.
Grimes, a graduate of Francis W. Parker High School in Chicago, is a highly ranked Midwest Sectional player and was an Illinois State high school doubles champion. Grimes joins Greg Holm and Zach Frisch as members of the 2005 recruiting class.
“Walker is an excellent serve-and-volley player,” said Houghton. “He should have an immediate impact in both singles and doubles for us.”
