Senior Katelyn Quinn scored the first goal of the 2005 season for Coach Carla Baker’s Iowa Hawkeyes in an exhibition victory over Loyola-Chicago Tuesday night at the Iowa Soccer Complex immediately west of the UI Athletics Hall of Fame.
Quinn is the subject of a story in today’s Cedar Rapids Gazette written by John Riehl.
“After last season, there is no mountain too tall for Katelyn Quinn to climb as an Iowa Hawkeye soccer player,” writes Riehl.
“One year removed from earning second-team all-Big Ten honors, the Highlands Ranch, Colo., native traded in her soccer shoes for a figurative pair of pom poms.”
