Fans of Coach Kirk Ferentz’s nationally ranked University of Iowa football team should take the following road construction into consideration when planning their trips to historic Kinnick Stadium for the seven home games of the Hawkeyes. These areas of construction will likely slow game-day traffic.
The UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will update this list when necessary during the 2006 season. CURRENT ROAD CONSTRUCTION OF NOTE
From the East
North Dodge Street from North Governor to Dubuque Road (I-80 exit 246) – Lane closures are possible.
US Highway 6 from Lakeside Drive to 420th Street – Reduced to one lane. Delays will be occurring.
From Coralville
US Highway 6 from 12th Avenue to Clear Creek (4th Avenue) – Possible delays and lane reductions.
From the South
US Highway 1 at the US Highway 218 interchange – One lane traffic in each direction.
